FOR 7s RUGBY
7s Committee
Led by the Director of 7s, this group of five will work together to promote the game of 7s rugby across the union. It will work with all club 7s tournaments hosted within the union to aid in promotion and participation using avenues such as social media, website and email/RX communications. It will ensure compliance and sanctioning by the tournaments including eligibility, officiating, disciplinary, medical and all other facets to ensure fun, safe, and competitive events. It will coordinate the summer 7s series across the social divisions, and will assist qualifier teams move on to nationals.

The committee is comprised of volunteers:

Director of 7s - Appointed by the CGRU Executive Committee within one month of the 2026 Annual General Meeting. Pending a vote at the 2026 AGM, this role will become a voting member of the CGRU board, and will be up for election during the odd years of the AGM.
