As part of our initiative to help clubs advance and become compliant, the CGRU will reimburse all CGRU member clubs for the cost of one person to complete the World Rugby Level 1 coaching certification each season (Sept-Aug).  This benefit may be used annually by an additional club member.  This is intended for new coaches who complete all requirements to be L1 coach certified, including:

• Registration in RX as a coach

• Completion of the 2 online modules as required by the course

• Completion of the background check

• Completion of the SafeSport module

How does it work?

• The individual enrolls and pays for the course through USA Rugby

• Attend and complete the course successfully 

• Completion of the requirements listed above

• Apply for reimbursement to financial@cgru.rugby

  • Attach course receipt

  • Include name, address, RX CIPP ID, current club​
