2025 CGRU ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

MEETING DETAILS

  • Date - January 26, 2025 5pm EST

  • Location - Virtual via Google Meet (To be shared soon)

  • Attendees - The meeting is mandatory for all CGRU member clubs and current union officials.  

PLANNING

  • Dec 1 - Nomination form w position descriptions to be sent

  • Jan 1 - Nominations close

  • Jan 8 - Nominees to submit a position statement detailing why he/she should be elected

  • Jan 15 - Nominee information shared with each club president

  • Jan 12 - Proxy information collected as necessary

  • Jan 19 - Agenda and vote process shared

  • Jan 1 - Topics for the AGM must be submitted to the Exec Committee

  • Jan 1 - Any proposed bylaw changes must be submitted   

ELECTION PROCESS

All eligible clubs in good standing as of Jan 1, 2025 will vote for the officers.  Currently that would only be for the VP of Operations as the other offices only had one candidate each.  If no one reaches 50%, the candidate with the least votes will be eliminated, and we will revote.  This will continue until a single candidate reaches 50%.  Only clubs in good standing with the CGRU & USAR are eligible to vote.  The link to vote will be emailed directly to the club president or the club's proxy.

The remaining candidates are then eligible for other offices for which they have been nominated.  We will then vote for the division directors.  Clubs can only vote within their respective divisions.  A second link will be emailed directly to the club president or proxy.

Lastly, the directors of the men’s divisions will choose an Executive Director of Men, while the women’s division directors will do the same.  A third link will be emailed directly to the newly elected division directors.
